Broken Vinyl Window Frame

Turn the window over and use your putty knife to cut the adhesive tape holding the window in the frame.

Vinyldoc s patented liquid pvc adhesive comes in oz and 2 o z tubes this vinyl adhesive is perfect filling seams weather sealing or welding cracked vinyl pieces back together from damage done during installation or remodeling. If the strips overlap you may have to remove each strip in order usually side strips first then top then bottom.

Remove the strip the rest of the way by hand. Push the sash against the frame until you can insert the opposite side of the sash in the frame. Inspect the vinyl strips. Insert a flat head screwdriver or the edge of a putty knife under the strip to start.

Lower the sash until it engages with the bottom of the replacement spring balances. The two sides should be done last. Hole filled and sanded smooth. Holes ragged edges cleaned up ready for repair.

Vinyl window frame hole repair. Slide the putty knife between the glass and the tape and break the bond holding the window in the frame. Using a stiff mesh in the hole to add reinforcement for the fiberglass gel filler. One the glass is in place line up and reinstall the vinyl frame stoppers around the four edges of the glass pane as previously marked.
