For a polyester bag it s recommended you use these settings. If it is 100 polyester you can take elasti prints down to 275f. Cut off a small swatch of polyester heat press your iron on to the polyester and run it through the washing machine a few times to see if it adheres. With 100 polyester you can use any siser heat transfer vinyl. While it is true that you can heat press polyester it is also worth mentioning that the success depends upon the different type of transfer used. If you re able to test press an inconspicuous area of the jacket at 340 f this is the temperature we use on the easypress for most siser htv if the polyester shows no heat mark then you can press the htv for 10 15 seconds. However keep in mind that a cover sheet can also reduce the temperature reaching the transfer application by another 10 degrees.

Most of the heat transfer vinyl films that we offer can be applied to cotton polyester or cotton poly blends. There are a number of different types on the market and not all of them are equally suitable for this kind of fabric. You can even test before you decide which vinyl to use just apply a heat press or iron at different temperatures to your polyester and see if it discolors or not. You can put in the type of heat transfer vinyl you re using the material you re putting your decal on and whether you re using a pressing pillow i recommend using one or a towel.
